Amelia Boyd brought up the discussion regarding dispersement of the town report. Based on the uncertain release dates as well as the cost relative to return; the board decided not to be involved with this years delivery.  Paul indicated that the Bow Rotary seemed interested.

The board had a spirited discussion regarding adding additional language to the registration form to encourage on-time registration.  The wording would included…PLEASE NOTE:  All registrants will be place on a team.  Registrations received after (date) will require an additional $10.00 fee and every effort will be made to place the late registrant on a team if space is available.

The board approved this change.

Soccer Report

Martin Murray

The coaching certificate clinic for soccer was held on August 23rd.  Big Thanks to Abe.  Tom Phillips of MLS Soccer camps presented a coaches clinic on August 27th.  Tom did a great job.  The clinic was a great success.  On August 29th, 25 people attended the referee clinic.

Martin reviewed the overall enrollment of kids in this years soccer program. Approx. 211 players for 06.  About 59 less than 2005 season.

For the first time in many years the 3rd and 4th  grade teams joined the Merrimack Valley Soccer League.  Purchase was made of new uniforms for these teams.  Feedback thus far has been positive.  Martin expressed concern over the future success of the 7th and 8th grade girls teams due to low participation.  Something to keep our eye on.
