The coaches and board of Bow Lacrosse (BL), part of Bow Athletic Club (BAC), welcome you to the 2020 lacrosse season. We are very excited and can’t wait to start lacrosse season!

Registration is now open.

For those of you unfamiliar with our program, BL is a total volunteer organization. We are not sponsored or funded by the school district or the town recreation department. The program is run by a Board of Directors and volunteer coaching staff along with the assistance of the parents of all players. We are dedicated to the instruction of the game of lacrosse, sportsmanship, teamwork, and fair play. Lacrosse is a fast paced, fun sport and we encourage everyone to try playing! BL is open to all students who reside within the boundaries of the Bow school district and those surrounding towns that do not currently field a youth lacrosse team.

Early bird registration will be open from 1/14/20 until 1/26/20 and will save you $15 per player!
Regular registration will be open from 1/27/20 through 2/14/20. We will also have a late registration that will be open until 2/21/20 but there will be a late fee of $15.

Register here at: www.bowlacrosse.com

Players will need to buy a uniform. If you are a returning player you can use the one you had last year as the uniforms are the same. We will have two package options for uniforms. One package will include a shooting shirt and we were able to secure a discount price in hopes that players and parents will pick this option especially since the start of the season can be cold. Please follow the link below. If you are not sure about sizing please wait to order as we will have an Information Night and chance to try on uniforms on 1/30/20 from 6-7pm at BMS. https://tlsportssalesinc.tuosystems.com/stores/2020-bow-lacrosse

This year we plan to field U8, U10, U12 and U14 boys’ and girls’ teams. These teams will be part of the NH Youth Lacrosse Association (NHYLA) and will travel statewide, usually about an hour away. There are typically 4 home games and 4 away games.

Teams will start the year with indoor practice the week of March 16th. The indoor practice is for 1 to 2 hours and is typically held on weeknights in March at the Concord Sports Plex for a few weeks. Through the rest of the season, teams practice outdoors twice or three times a week for about 1 or 2 hours. Games are typically played on Sundays with some games during the week or on Saturdays. The season runs through mid-June concluding with the annual NHYLA tournament in Amherst.

Lacrosse is a game that is played in all weather conditions (except thunder and lightning). BL reserves the right to cancel practices or games due to inclement weather. We also give each head coach the discretion to cancel a practice due to weather.

Sincerely,
Bow Lacrosse

Registration closes – 02/07/2020

Bow Athletic Club is now accepting registrations for our 2019-20 youth basketball program. The program is open to Bow and Dunbarton residents in 1st grade through high school. Evaluations of players begin as early as Sunday 10/20, so do not wait to register. Registration to close October 12th. Failure to register before that date will result in a $25 late fee (if space is available). Register prior to October 1st to ensure your child has a uniform when play begins. To register go to: http://bowathleticclub.siplay.com/site/ and for more information, visit our website at: http://www.bowathleticclub.com or contact Bryce Larrabee (bryce_larrabee@trg.com). Note that if you want your child to be considered for an “A” team they MUST attend the scheduled evaluations (alternative arrangements can be made in extreme circumstances – which most years ends up being about four or five players out of the 350 in the program).

At http://www.bowathleticclub.com you should be able to find under the “Basketball” Tab everything you could ever want to know about BAC basketball including general information. Most importantly, go to http://www.bowathleticclub.com/clubs/1519/pages/60637 (at the BAC website go to Programs, then to Basketball, then to Parents and finally to FAQ). Everything we can think of related to the program is located on the FAQ page.

This summer BAC will again enter basketball teams for boys and girls (separately) for grades 3/4, 5/6 and 7/8 in the NH Sportszone (Derry, NH) summer basketball league – with games starting the week of June 17th and ending the week of August 12th. Games are played one night a week (Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday) between 5 and 8 pm. The league has advised us that the schedule will be (which does not make any sense to me, but nevertheless this is what they are telling me): Tuesday (34B, 34G, 56G and 78B), Wednesday (56B) and Thursday (78G). The cost for the summer season is $100/player.

Please note, the divisions for this summer league are based on your child’s grade for the 2019-20 school year. Thus, for example, if you have a current 2nd grader, for this summer league they will be considered a 3rd grader for the summer. If you have a current 8th grader, they will be considered a Freshman and not able to play in this league. Position remain open on all teams at this time.

Due to summer schedules, it is expected that players will miss at least one or two games.

This is not an instructional league as there are little or no practices for the teams. Due to the competitive nature of this league, which is geared towards the more developed basketball players in the community, strongly consider whether this is the best venue for your child to play. Also, coaches and the BAC basketball committee reserve the right to determine which players are appropriate for this team. The games are shorter (2 – 20 minute running clock halves) and so we do not want teams to have too many players on them (otherwise kids won’t get enough time to play). We have been creative in the past and will make every effort to allow everyone that wants to – an opportunity to play – but we cannot guarantee it.

To register please go online to https://bowathleticclub.sportssignup.com/site/ or www.sportssignup.com, or visit the Bow Athletic Club Website ( http://www.bowathleticclub.com ) – and follow the registration link on the left hand side of the page (titled Online Registration).
