This league is geared towards the more developed basketball players in the community. Due to the competitive nature of this league, BAC will have tryouts for each of these teams on Sunday May 31st at BMS (6 – 7 pm girls, 7 – 8 pm boys).
To register to try out for the summer league team please complete the registration form located on the BAC website.
Please note, selection for the summer league team is made by the coach and their assistant coaches (if any), with further assistance from the BAC basketball committee (if requested by the coach). The number of players a coach selects or how they select the team is up to the particular coach. It is anticipated that the team will have very few practices (if any) and it is expected that each player will miss at least one game during the summer. If you anticipate that your child will miss more than three games, we strongly suggest you consider whether it is appropriate to try out for the team(s). For more information contact Bryce Larrabee (Bryce_larrabee@trg.com) or go to www.nhsportszone.com .

Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) basketball opportunities
Additional opportunities to play include playing for an AAU basketball team. Traditionally, these teams play March – June, many times with practices several times a week and games on weekends (some AAU programs continue through the summer and fall).
AAU basketball has a reputation of only taking the very best basketball players in the community. However, many AAU programs have numerous teams such that a developing player could make an AAU team (and continue to develop as a player), simply not on the very best of the AAU teams. Thus, for example, a fictitious NH Bball AAU team could have 6 teams of 9/10 year olds with the very best on its 1st team and its weakest players on the 6th team (and everything in between).
Typically, these teams play games all over New England (and occasionally farther away). Some of the local AAU teams (and this is not an exhaustive list of all of the local teams) are as follows:
